Synthetic melanocortin-receptor agonist, also known as bremelanotide. Used in laboratory research on melanocortin signaling in the central nervous system and neuroendocrine behavior models.

PT-141 is a cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It activates melanocortin receptors, including MC3R and MC4R, and is used to study how central melanocortin pathways influence neuroendocrine signaling.
